My Story

I’ve spent over 20 years building, creating, performing.

From running a breakfast delivery startup to launching a creative agency, and performing
worldwide as Los Cabra, I lived the rush of making things happen.

But behind the scenes, it was messy.

Unclear communication. Poor leadership. Burnout. Conflicts no one dared to name.

I lived those problems firsthand.

And eventually, it got to me.

I stopped producing. I stopped DJing.

Not because I lost the passion — but because I didn’t want to deal with the human mess anymore.

It drained me.

I thought walking away was the only option.

But after some time off, I realized something:

I understood these situations deeply because I had been through them.

And more than that — I knew how to prevent them.

That’s when The Friction Dept. started to take form.

Not as a product, but as a service built from lived experience.

I didn’t want other people — artists, producers, organizers, techs — to go through what I went through.

So I created a way to step in before things break.

My approach is simple: clear sessions, short formats, on-site presence. No generic templates. Just real people work.

Because if we don’t take care of the humans, the show doesn’t matter.

Now, I combine everything I’ve learned from music, production, and team-building into one purpose:

helping crews work better together — fast, clearly, and without burning out.
